AXIS offers our performance coaches a different scheduling process that differs from traditional personal trainers and strength coaches to prevent burnout. Unique scheduling such as "rotational Saturdays", "early Fridays" and "seasonal" holidays as well as regular holidays.

AXIS coaches are involved in special projects and community service opportunities, as well as weekly staff development for continued challenge and learning opportunities. CEUs for required certifications are paid by AXIS.

Job Description & Qualifications for AXIS Sports Performance Coach

Job Description: The Performance Coach provides training programs to AXIS clients, including our rookies which start at age 7, student athletes and adults. At times they may supervise and teach elite amateur, college and professional athletes. They will also engage in community outreach activities and be required to build and present educational materials for coaches, teams, parents, etc.

Skill, experiences, and knowledge level required:

A four-year degree in Exercise Science or a related field of study

Experience in performance coaching: areas include all aspects of speed, change of direction, quickness, using free weights, teaching, Olympic lifting techniques, corrective exercises, and plyometric techniques. Team Player!!

Experience coaching at the high school, collegiate or professional level.

Exceedingly high motivation and energy level.

Strong people skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a multi-task environment.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Certifications Required or working toward:

CPR
CSCS and/or USAW
