ABOUT AXIS

In addition to our regular small group speed agility and strength programs which run 6 days a week all year the following additional programs are on the schedule for Winter 2012. Sessions purchased for these two types of programs will expire March 31st, 2012:

Large groups are back for Jan-March with a new cap at 10 athletes! Three age groups (8-11, 12-14, 15+) Includes Speed, agility, core, and conditioning. Prices are $25 each for less than 8 and $20 for 8 or more sessions. Like all our classes, NO NEED TO FORM YOUR OWN GROUP! ONLINE SCHEDULE

Our mission at AXIS is to provide professional quality sport performance training to athletes of all ages and skill levels so they have the opportunity to excel in their chosen sports and to stay active in the sports they love. We cater to athletes that play power sports: lacrosse, football, basketball, soccer, hockey, volleyball, softball and baseball. Ages 8-Adult

Speed, Agility Conditioning and Strength classes are offered 6 days a week year round. You can start any time you are ready. Call today to find out which programs are right for you and get scheduled for your first appt. 410/715-3700.

Once you purchase sessions you can sign up for classes online that fit your schedule. Sessions are deducted when used. The Jan-March 2012 Schedule and Programs will Be Completed by the first week of December. See the current schedule online! Look for the final January schedule by December 7th.

All the programs at AXIS contain the following elements:

Teach and reinforce proper body mechanics for all athletic movement - running, change of direction, jump and land, throwing and twisting patterns.

Progress the athlete to be able to utilize their hips and control their body to generate more power and explosiveness.

Strengthen weak chains of muscle groups common to specific sports and genders catered to during that season. For unique predisposition to injury or sports, AXIS also has private training sessions available.

Our team carefully plans each season's workouts in advance based on the latest science available for that sport.

Our facility includes a large turf area, 3 lane track with electronic timing systems, padded jump boxes, Vertimax, Jungle Gym XT's, Battling Ropes, Speed Bungees and Sleds. AXIS has trained more than 3700 athletes ages 7-adult in the last 8 years!
Private, Small Groups or Team Training options available!


We offer:

  • Small groups (6-8 athletes)
    60 minutes for ages 8-11 core and bodyweight strength plus conditioning and performance work (agility and speed)
    60 minutes for ages 12-14 introductory strength plus conditioning and performance work
    90 minutes for ages 12.5-15 and 15+ - strength plus conditioning and performance work (agility and speed)
    Small Group classes available Monday-Saturday year round. Look for additional classes during school holidays.
  • Seasonal 60 minute pre-season or specialty performance classes in a "large group" setting (8+ athletes will be in the group)
  • A comprehensive schedule of challenging adult classes
